Where Are Your Priorities?

As I sit here tonight preparing a funeral message for a dear lady that passed away last night, I had a sudden overwhelming sense of urgency. This lady lived to be 92-years old. I started thinking about how many people won't live that long and how they spend their lives preoccupied with trying to get ahead, how much they can accumulate, what all they can "experience." The fact is none of that stuff matters in the end. What matters most in this life are relationships, most importantly your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Most folks won't live past 90-years old but once you leave this world in death you will be spending eternity in one of two places; Heaven or Hell. Then this little piddly time we had on earth will seem like nothing more than a raindrop in the ocean. Friend, where do your priorities lie? Have you trusted Christ as your Savior? If not, I can't stress enough how important it is for you to wake up and realize that your time is running out.

Scripture says in Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
It goes on to say in Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The worrisome part is in Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Did you know that when the Bible talks about death, it is referring to an eternity in hell, forever separated from God and from any love?
The good part is though is that there is something we can do to avoid this "death." Romans 10:9-10 says: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
And Romans 10:13 assures us of this:For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
What about you friend? Have you been saved?If not, and you want to find out more, please message me and let's talk about it. Don't put it off, tomorrow may be too late.
