Another Christmas

As children we think Christmas will never get here but as time passes on it seems as if it gets here sooner every year. As I was driving to the grocery store this evening around 4:00 pm, the lines of vehicles trying to get into the shopping areas was lined up as far as you could see. Some folks were angrily circling around looking for places to park or to cut in line, others with visible disgust in their eyes. I couldn't help but wonder what Jesus thought about all of this going on supposedly to remember His birth. Sadly, there are very few people today that even care that Christmas is about Jesus.

This past Sunday evening we had a Christmas cantata which was titled, "Christmas Is Jesus." You can watch the entire thing at this link: CHRISTMAS IS JESUS.

Below, I have embedded the song that I sang, "Mary Did You Know." Listen to the words and then ask yourself, are you really celebrating the birth of Christ at Christmas? If the answer is no, then I would like to encourage you to come out to Highland Baptist Church this Christmas morning at 10:30 am and join us in our service. I will be bringing a Christmas message that deals with how one young lady reacted to the news that she would be responsible for being the mother of the Savior of the world.
